I am going to share an inconvenient truth which a number of people will find it uncomfortable with. Not because you’re posting selfies (or wefie) on Instagram but you’re too conscious about the way you look and what others think about you.
That’s right, many of us simply want to present the best side of ourselves. Such as finding the perfect camera angle to look slimmer and editing our selfies with Photoshop before posting them up on social media. Let’s be honest, how many of you are guilty of that?
That’s the “me first” mentality most of us have in this world of being so used to the human rat races. We want to appear our best, with the fear of displaying our weaknesses and try to be somebody whom we’re not.
With influence from Hollywood stars, Kpop groups and many other renowned personalities, many of us only see the glitter and glamorous side of them and decide to chase after fame and riches while losing their true self and become disconnected from people.
“For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses or forfeits himself?”
Find your true self by allowing God to show you that right there who you are, you’re so awesome beyond this world.
That’s more to life beyond chasing after the things of this world. It is possible to get the things you always wanted but it is only temporal, leaving you empty after a while. Maybe on the way of perusing your untrue self to fool others, you did something which will continue to haunt you because deep within, you know it isn’t really you.
Only a change from the inside out then you can truly be blessed, happy and at peace with your authentic self. 🙂
I was so blessed by this message from Steven Furtick which I believe it will transform your perception of life for greater excellence. You won’t have to chase after a life which is not yours and you need not pretend to be someone whom you are not any more. Watch his message and do share your thoughts with me! 😉
